A Spa Center in a hotel in Kos, in an environment with high competition of similar services, and therefore with a basic design goal of a recognizable, distinct identity, attractive for the tourist audience.
The space was designed following the ancient Greek Doric morphology, with emphasis on simplicity and classical materials: marble, bronze, fabric.
The pleating, as a basic morphological borrowing from the ancient Greek column, is found in the fabric of the entrance area, in the lining of the wall around the atrium, and in the front of the wooden chimneys in the treatment rooms.
Finally, the element of water in the atrium space gives calmness and serenity to the transitional space that functions as an outdoor seating area.
